Soooo Happy!

Hi Everyone! I'll write more later but I didn't want to leave anyone hanging so I'll do a super short post. We're home and I could not be any more happy than I am now. The trip was long but we got here safe and sound with all of our luggage and and brought a new citizen to the States. Our bed was so incredibly comfy and Rinat loves his crib almost as much as I love the fact that we are not sleeping in the same room as him any more. He is doing pretty well considering that day is night and night is day for him right now. And us too. Alright Screamfest 2007 has begun. He freaks out any time Peter or I leave the room. Gotta go before he has a conniption. -m

Welcome home. I so loved following your journey. I'm so glad you made it home safe and sound as a new family of 3. :)

Your blog rocked. I hope you have time to keep posting, as I love to hear how he's doing.

Hey everyone out there in blogland...We were at the airport when Rinat and the others (not so important) arrived..Ohmygosh he is cuter than his photos! He was remarkably well behaved afer such a long journey and allowed himself to passed from uncle to aunt to grandparents...Lamar of course got him to laugh! We were all so excited and teary and talking at once! I'm amazed he didn't crawl right back in the direction of the plane! This is one happy granny signing off...I can't wait to get back to Washington!

Rinat,Maren,Peter,
Hi! Still in 'Kaz' with Mr. Max.
I am so happy that you are all home. We miss you here ( those of us that are left!)

You have expressed your feelings so beautifully in your recent posts about being a family. I admire what you,Peter, and the other couples have gone through before coming here, and share in your happiness as you all have left as families. It struck me as I read your second t last post, how true, our lives don't always go as planned, and how you come to Kazakhstan described one way, a couple, single woman, and are leaving, a family, a mom and dad, or in my case, a mom. :)
I will send a file with any pictures I have of you all here.
God Bless
Soraya ( Still in Kaz)

Congratulations to all of you! And thank you for your intimate sharing of this wonderful experience. I feel like I know Rinat already. I am looking forward to personally experiencing his giggles and tears.

I hope you will maintain contact with the other US families you met on your trip; your experiences are so unique....there has to be a bond there.

Love to all three of you!! Pam and Rich

I am happy to report that Rinat successfully completed his first family Starbucks visit this weekend. I got to meet him and I agree with Geri--he is even cuter person than the photos. Guess I won't need to stalk the blog since I can just show up at your doorstep now:)

Welcome home and so happy you're all safe and sound. Loved reading all about your experiences and so happy to welcome Rinat to the states. Maren and Peter you are so deserving of this little child and I know you will be superb parents. When you're over jetlag and settled in for a while, don't forget your friends at Glen Forest. We would love to see you and your precious bundle.

Love,
Marianne
