Happy Bek Day!

Hi all, 

Oct 14 is a big day for us around here.  It’s the day we first laid eyes on the sweetest, cutest, more adorable little boy on earth.  Our little Bekkers.  So in honor of this big day, here is just a small sample of all of the things we love about this boy.

I love his belly laugh- with his mouth wide open and his moon eyes squeezed shut.

I love that when he walks he leads with his belly.

I love that he puts his cheek on mine every morning and says “Mama” in this sort of way that makes it seem like he has been waiting for me all night and now everything is good in the world again.

I love that the tired-er he gets, the more he laughs.  I’m tempted to keep him up all night sometime just to see what happens.  He rocks.

I love when he gives the stink-eye.

I love that he hero worships our first born- his big brother, Rinat.  And I love even more that it is reciprocated.

I love that he runs full force at me and wraps his arms around my legs and buries his face in between and yells, “Mamaaaaaa!” in this lilting little way.  He just exudes love.

I love that he claps to the music in the car and that he sings himself to sleep at night.

I love that he still gets quiet and owl-like in new places and new situations.  It makes me feel needed in a way that I haven’t felt with Mr. Independent Rin.

I love that I can read every expression in his big lovey open-booked face.

I love that he hugs with every ounce of love that he can muster.

I love the way that his chubby little hands finger the charm on my necklace so gently when I am holding him when he is usually such a wrecking ball.

I love that he dances with his two fingers in the air and while bobbing up and down and shaking his little booty.

I love how he says lollipop “La’lah”

I love that instead of walking places he scoots along doing a half giddy up.

I love that he melts into me when he snuggles.

So much to love.

Now if only I could get him to stop picking his buggers and wiping them on me.  It’s so GROSS Bek!
