We have big stuff going on at our house. Big stuff, like going-to-Kazakhstan stuff. Yup, pretty darn soon we will be meeting our Little Leggett. We have been frantically trying to get everything done. Paperwork, running around to appointments, phone calls, flight reservations, last minute passports, gifts to buy, cold weather clothes to pack… Trying to get it all done while I can hardly keep a thought in my head is proving to be a lot of work but very very exciting. My ToDo list is slowly dwindling and I can focus a little bit more on the excitement about the fact that we are going to have a baby. A BABY!!! This time around, it has been such a roller coaster. This time, it has already taken 3 times as long as Rinat’s adoption, our agency closed, Kazakhstan closed/paused multiple times, we moved, and had one false start. In retrospect, Rinat’s adoption was a piece of cake. But we are finally on our way. Finally. It’s so close I can almost feel the little fuzz on his head and smell that particular stew-y smell of the baby house. We still have a little while before we head out so you may hear from me another time or two before we see Little with our own two (six) eyes. But I will most definitely post just as much as we are allowed to as it happens. But we are almost there. Love to all, -m

Oh I am SO excited for you!!!! I'll be following along anxiously and cannot wait to meet Little Leggett one day!
Happy packing! Oh I am SO SO excited for you. Hooray!
Best wishes to you!! I look forward to cheering you along. Susan
We followed your story since 2007. Then there was a Belgian couple in Astana to adopt their girl.
We wish you all the best in your second adventure.
We have 3 Kazak children. We are back home with our youngest since the third of July this year. Our first story was also much shorter than our last one but you will forget it soon once you're in the country to meet your child... then you know their was a reason that it took longer because this little one belongs to your family...
All the best,
Winde, Toon, Miel Arman (Aktobe 2005), Roos Balzhan (Karaganda 2007) and Juul Bakhytzhan (Almaty 2010)
It's all going to be worth the wait. Very exciting!
Very exciting and I hope the finally preperations goes well. I'm thrilled to follow your travels back to Kaz.
Safe travels,
Lou Ann & Lexie from Aktau Kaz
So happy for you all! Auntie Kate will be thinking of you all - she may even find a couple minutes to stop and think about the four of you and how much fun you'll be having on her big day!
Can't wait to meet the littlest Leggett, so bring the little lovebug home soon!
